We made it to Nashville.
Love the Gaylord Hotel!
Had a little issue for the last few days, I had an allergic
reaction to a antibiotic I have been taking.
Chills, fever, rash and feeling like crap.
Called my doctor and worked it all out.
Better today
Hope to be tip top tomorrow.
Having a great time,
just wish I had not been sick.
Will be home on Sunday!
Have a good week.

Leaving Wednesday morning on a road trip.

Have a good week!

When I get a idea or notion to do something, I have to do it or else.
I have been gathering items to put above my bed all week. Painting the shelf and mirror Black. And this is what came out of it. I LOVE IT!
It was so time for a change. We want to paint this room, but there is too many people in our house at this time and that there is no where to move the furniture while we paint. So this was my quick fix. It makes me feel better. Now back to packing for our road trip.

Sorry, I will not post a Thrifty Thursday today.

I have had too much on my plate the last week or so that I haven't been to the thrift store or a yard sale.

Now I have CKU, to get ready for.

Jeanette and I will be leaving next Wednesday for a stay in Nashville. We went a few years back to CKU and loved it. So when it was announced that it was coming back so close, we were in. So please excuse my absence, and have a great weekend.

The last few days have been busy and crazy to say the least.
About 3 weeks ago I found a lump under my arm, and called and made an appointment.
It started to grow as big as a golf ball.
It was a boil.
Have you ever had one of these lanced?
Oh, my goodness!!!
The packing was the worst.
I made the doctor stop twice.
This morning I can pull out the packing and I am not looking forward to it.

This is TYLER, my nephew.
We are so proud of you!
He graduated last night from High school.
And as I sat there and observed , I could pick out the parents in that auditorium.
The mothers was smiling and snapping pictures, while the fathers had their arms around their wife and smiling.
They are so proud of their child.
There was a few seniors that strutted across the stage, proud of themselves too.
There was a few more things I observed,
Girls, don't wear high heels on your graduation day if you are not use to them.
Only in Alabama do quotes come from Forrest Gump and Dr Seuss.
The class was handed a yellow rose as they left the stage.
The girls held on to their rose lovingly.
The boys twirled the flower, and some left it laying on the floor in front of them .
As my class of 1979, closes in on our 30th class reunion this year,
I wonder do these children know that they will never all be together again?

It has been a busy week!
And alittle tiresome, having to drive around every afternoon working on my tan....
Hahahaha
I got my first snub yesterday as I pulled into the Piggy Wiggly.
A lady snubbed me as she passed. I did have the top down and was enjoying that it was not raining.
Did I snub people that had a convertible?
Had I been ugly, and had bad thoughts.
Yeah, I probably did.
I have wanted this car for a long time.
All I can say to her is keep the faith, believe you can do it!
Yes, you can !
That was straight from Bob the Builders mouth.
Enjoy your weekend.
I know I will.

I am posting my Thrifty Thursday alittle early this week and here is why.
Hubby and I had eye appointment yesterday.
So he took a vacation day so we could go junkin.
So we left the house heading to the thrift stores and to look at cars.
We was only looking at cars.
Until I saw this.......

Just kidding
But she is such a good wife.

This is what I got

a

*CONVERTIBLE*

Isn't she pretty?

And so far everyone says

I look good in it!

Now all I need is for the rain to stop.

The salesman said since it was my first convertible , the sky's would part for me.

I will take some picture today, it was so late after we got home with dilated eyes.

And I had to ride the boys around, and we worked on our convertible wave,

( kinda like the Queen wave) HA!

Fun Post
Jenn suggested you type in the Google search
Jerri needs...............
and see what comes up.
1. Jerry needs no help playing with his balls.* if I had balls, I would need no help, believe me.
2. What everyone is feeding their cat, now with pic of Jerri. * I am going to leave this one alone.
3. Jerri needs chocolate and sex, in that order* oh, do they know me.
After that it got alittle racy, so I must have a exciting life.
So click on over to Google and see what you need.

My Mama
There has been times when we have not gotten along.
There has been times when we did not speak.
There has been times when I just could not be around you.
There has been things said that was hurtful.
There has been times when we have been buddies.
There has been times when I needed you and you were there.
There has been times when I rolled my eyes, in discuss.
There has been times that you I tried to make you hate me.
There has been times when I think I almost succeed.
There has been times when I would never be like you.
There has been times when it clicked, that was a life lesson from mama.
There has been times when I want to be just like you.
There has been times when you held me and let me cry.
There has been times when I just wanted to be alone.
There has been times when we don't see each other for weeks, although you live next door.
There has been times when, I just went by to say HI!
There has been times when you said I Love You!
Happy Mother's Day!
I love you!

I have been so lazy this week, that I have not complete a project or even posted since Monday.
For two weeks I worked like a dog preparing for the Spring Sale on Saturday. And it was pretty much a bust. Rain Rain go away! So I had nothing to post on Thrifty Thursday. Until I looked at my pictures. I did create a few of these for the sale. Let's just call her Fredia. She just hangs around the shop window and greets customers as they enter.
CAR UPDATE
After talking to several mechanics, and the price kelp going up and up,
We have decided to drive my car until she causes more problem, no leaks since I started back driving her. So now it is time to get down to a decision, what kind of car do I really want.
Do you have a dependable car, that doesn't look like a old lady car, and I hate to say it but convertible optional. I have been looking on line and I am more confused than ever. Let me know, and Happy Thursday!

I am having a lazy Monday.

Still in my gown at noon and sipping coffee.

We have had a rainy weekend.

Saturday was our 3 annual Hello Spring, Goodbye Winter,

Spring Cleaning Sale at the shop.

The forecast was a 20% chance of rain and it was centered above the shop.

But after noon it slowed and people did get out and about.

On Friday I had car problems.

But I didn't know until

I drove in the driveway , I saw where there was a trail of oil.

And it was coming from Sally.

Sally is old, over 10 years old .

But she still gets me from point A to B.

And she has no payments.

Hubby check her out and it is a transmission sill and the Ford place want $700.00 to start.

What to do... What to do....

I have been teasing hubby about a convertible.

But truth is, convertibles are not made for big girls.

But the smaller girl inside still wants one.

So we are in the thinking stage.

Thinking and wondering if we need to bite the bullet and get a new car.

Or

Suck it up and spend $ on old Sally.

BUT

Wouldn't I look good in this?

Happy May Day Everyone!

This pic are from a May Day Basket I got from my sweet swap partner Hope.
DD had helped me pack up the last of Hope's goodies and was so excited to see what was in my box when it arrived.
She met me at the door with scissors in hand to open the package.
Last week Hope had e-mailed me and ask me many questions.
Like flocking or glitter
velvet or satin
So I was too,
excited to see what she had in store for me.
It was so much fun and I never once thought to wait till May Day.
I tore into the package to see all these notes on each package and it was soooo much fun.
Hope, you really out did your self.
Thank you so much.
Recently, I had considered collection vintage change purses.
And in the last package I opened was a change purse.
So another collection has started.
Thanks again Hope!
