This is another one of those 80's collage frame. I love these pictures. And when I saw them I knew they needed to be seen by everyone. Will take a few days off this weekend, hubby off till Wednesday. Have a wonderful and safe holiday.

Oh my goodness, I had a ball this weekend. Spent Friday night at Mania, scrapbooking. We had make and takes with these gals,http://www.memoriesacrossthemiles.blogspot.com/
We had a make and take with Cheryl http://www.cherylmezzetti.typepad.com/
And the classes was great. Cheryl was outstanding . Alot to create in one day but I am back in the swing and my creative juices are flowing, so look out. I have so many ideas and I am ready to create.
The best fun was seeing all my gal pals. It has been 7 months since I saw Bestest friend, Jeanette. And it was so good to see Barbara , Donna , Janet, India, Queen Nonna and Terri. And I met new scrappin buddies. Oh, what a weekend.
The fellowship with my scrappin buddies is what I needed, girl time.

We have been back to school only 9 days and grandson #1 missed the bus. So after ranting and raving for a few minutes I realize that I could take #2 to daycare early and have some alone time to do what ever I want. So I skipped to the car and loaded everyone into the car singing. Oh, get real, me skipping. But it was a nice break and all was happy. So here I sit with 2 hours on my hands to do with what I want. And I am dumb founded that I can't think of a thing to do. I know the sink is full of dishes and my bed needs to be made and I am going to a overnight crop this weekend and I need to come up with something to do, but I sit here on the computer. Oh, it is my party and I will cry if I want to. OR It is my alone time and only you know I am surfing the Internet. Lifting my virtual glass, Here's to being alone , a quite house, and no desire to empty that sink or make that bed. Okay snapping back to reality, I guess this is a post about nothing. So lifting that glass once more, here is to nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have a Happy Tuesday.
And I promise that it is a virtual glass.....

We are back into the swing of things, school started last week. DD is working 7 on and 7 off right now, so I am only on school duty every 7 days. Getting to the school bus on time, trying to come up with something for grandson #1 to eat, He is a picky eater, did you brush your teeth, where is your back pack. Does everyone go through this? And all the while getting a 3 year ready for daycare and myself ready for work. It has been a busy week and I sat down with grandson #1 last night to ask how his day was. It was 8:30, I was cooking him noodles for supper, ( football practice was till 8, and he won't eat before, ) he was coloring a map of the united states. I asked him about school, his eyes lit up and he started telling me in the 5th grade you had more of a selection at lunch. And the chocolate milk was bigger and colder. He had 4 chocolate milks yesterday. FOUR! yeah, the lunch lady wouldn't let me have more than 2 so I got Josh to get me two more. And Sara got me 2 and I put them in my cooler for snack. That made SIX! So by this I know it was a good day! If you are ever down and need a pick me up, just have some chocolate milk, maybe you should stop with one though.

Old Victorian album that is falling apart, well, it will used to create something. The old camping toaster is a candle holder. Old black and white wedding are one of my favorites. I am saving a few items until I get them set up and displayed. Stayed tuned.

Gearing up for the "World's Longest Yard Sale" starting on Thursday. Hubby and I will attend a few days of hunting for the ultimate bargain, the most unique items and the hottest place on earth. I will complain about the prices, the heat, the unfriendly drivers, the lack of bathrooms, ( I won't use a rent a potty), the junk some people sets out in the yard to sale, and did I say the heat. Oh honey, it is as hot as fire at times, and you don't stay in the car long enough to cool off. But we love it. I was disappointed last year with the items I got to buy, they seem to get higher and higher each year. But I sold everything as soon as I got them out in the store. I try to find item that are unique to our area, something maybe you don't see too often. So wish me luck and I will have pic by Monday or so.

Have a great weekend.

It is that time of the summer. And now it is done. I canned all day yesterday, and my canning is done for the year. I put up vegetable soup, tomatoes, and salsa. Put peppers and peas in the freezer. Maybe a few more peas, but then I am done. And we can have veggies all winter long.
I had a lady in the store last week, tell me about a Squash Pattie recipe.
Gonna give it a try tonight. Here it is...
Steam your squash and drain, add one package of Mexican cornbread mix and one egg. Form patties and fry. Yes, fry! I live in the south and how do you think I keep up my curves. Loving it!

I enjoy watching the classics. A rainy weekend, movies and curled up on the sofa is a enjoyable time for me. But it doesn't happen that often. This would be a perfect line up. Although I have 2 of the 4 on video. Oh, and how can I forget 7 brides for 7 brothers. Now it would be a perfect movie weekend. What about yours. Tell us, leave a link to your blog and post your favorite movies.
