Today is the last day of the month. I have tried to spread the word.
For many years, no one  near me had breast cancer. Then a few years ago, I had a good friend and my mother in law, within a few months of each other.

I love the fact that I can say both survived. Both are still here. So they can walk the pink stairs to this house and sit by the pink lake and enjoy the view.

October was a really busy month, and this is my month to have a mammogram, I will make an appointment in November.  Have you? I will go with, I will hold your hand, It is not all that bad, I hate it too. But it won't last long. Please, I don't won't another person I know to have to deal with this terrible cancer.

Midnight snack time! Enjoy!!!!

Today is the day, it is time to carve your pumpkin.
It will still look okay for the up and coming holiday and it will be one thing you don't have to do, last minute.
So put that book down and get to carving.
Happy Halloween week!

It has been one of those days, a busy day. A day that it took all day to make a grocery list for the up coming retreat weekend. So tonight at 10 o'clock, I am sitting here on the computer for the first time  this afternoon. I am picturing myself in a soft pink bed with fluff and fur. Comfortable and I am drifting, drifting off to sleep.....night.zzzzzzzz

In the town of  Makebelieve, I live in this victorian Pink house.
In this town, there is no cancer, no chemo, no radiation treatment.
The town of Makebelieve is next to Perfect.

KNOCK KNOCK
I had a idea!
Don't get too excited.
I borrowed it from another blog.
I will be showing you pink all month long.
In honor of the people ( men as well as women) who have fought and won over breast cancer,
and the ones who have lost this battle, kicking and screaming.
Because this month is the month, our local news paper was printed in PINK, yesterday.
I hope when you notice sometime for sale to benefit breast cancer, you pick it up, You buy that brand of (what ever) that supports the cause, you give them a hug or call them and ask if there is anything you can do, call a friend and go with her and get that mammogram.
 Happy Pink October!!!!

Junk Swap
Hosted by the Funky Junky Chicks

Your invited to A Junk Swap
Sponsored 2 funky junky chicks and friends
One woman’s JUNK is another women’s Treasure
October 15th, 2011 @ 1:00 pm sharp
@ Berry Mountain School House
As you know we love our “JUNK”.
So let me tell you What this swap is all about?
We all have stuff and we, as women tend to change our mind,
some of us quite often.
So we will bring our stuff and put it in a big pile ….. And then we get to go shopping for treasures from the pile!
If you bring 10 items, then you get 10 clothes pins to go shopping with.
If you bring 7 items you get 7 clothes pins, ( got it?)
This started from a blog we stalk that does this semi annually.
But we are going to have a little twist .
We are asking for a $5.00 donation from each of you to given a different charity annually, this time we will
Be donating  to
 Cleveland Elementary School.
This will be a fun way to shop with out spending alot of  money, enjoy some yummy food, and send your loved - used treasures to a new happy home, while meeting new friends and helping out people who need it!!!!
The most important rules are as follows:
Up to 10 items can be brought per person. Items can be used, old or new,
You get the idea, right?
Items need to be loved but cared for.
All items will be placed together then we will shop by placing clothes pins on the items we hope to take home. If items get more than one pin, there will be a drawing….this will be exciting!
At the end of the swap, you may leave your unwanted items to be donated to Hope House.
If you would like to join us please let Tonya or Jerri know, so we will have enough clothes pins and Yummy food ! ! ! !

It is cooler in Alabama today, it didn't get into the 70's.
This type of weather makes me want to cook/bake.
I found this recipe on-line, somewhere.
It is a Snickers Cupcake.
Yummy!
So rich!
So good
But so Rich!
Now my problem is my hubby won't eat em
The grandsons won't eat them
James only likes pound cake
Jessica might eat one or two.
And that leaves 22 for me.
Since I have already had one, that means there is 21 left.
all for me!!!!
LOL
I think I will RAK them tomorrow.

I just ran across this picture and I had to post it.
This is Terry ( my Hubby) and his brothers.
Michael is on his ride holding his new daughter, Catherine
L to R Rusty, Keith and my sweet Hubs Terry.
This was taken a few years ago  on Christmas week.
They all looked so much alike when they were kids, I don't think so much now.
But they all have that gray hair.
Salt and pepper hair.
Some more salt than pepper.
LOL
