Life in a Bubble

Pros

1. Alone ( but I can invite hubby in)

2. all in White

3. outdoors (sorta)

4. rain would be amazing

Cons

1. out there for all the world to see

2. no TV

3. when grand kids visit, they would bounce off the walls.

Out on the Porch

Come sit with me out on the porch in early morn,

And watch a new day struggle to be born.

A tinge of orange upon horizon's breast

And stars now tired--flicker low and rest.

Look through dark leaves to lighter skies in space, At patterns that resemble finest lace.

So quiet hear the beating of our hearts

As slowly day arrives--and night departs.

The moon now pale high in the sky,

Watch morning birds as they begin to fly.

Tranquility abounds, air crystal clear,

A moment stopped in time, devoid of fear.

To feel the warmth of rising sun,

Another day for us begun.

Reach out your hand for me to hold.

Together, watch this day unfold.

FALL IS IN THE AIR

Look at this simple wreath.

Isn't it just cute?

I like simple lately.

Less is more.

If you know me you know I haven't had a table and chairs for a few years now.

Sold mine and haven't found what I wanted yet.

Yesterday I did!

I had decided awhile back I wanted this kind of table.

And I found it, at a yard sale

After a year or so hunt, I got what I wanted.

So excited

And it only cost me $50.00

Bottoms Up

It is the weekend

So enjoy yourself.

If I was only smart enough back then to start with white dishes.

But instead, I have blue, green, actually 2 greens, clear, pink an a assortment of odd plates. Nothing matches and I can only set a table for 4, but i love dishes. I have with the help of Linda started to collect white Buffalo china. You know what I am talking about, it is old restaurant ware. We realized Cracker Barrel still uses Buffalo ware.

The plan is to get rid of some of the odd pieces.

We will see.

On our 90 something day of 90 degree weather in Alabama.

And it is September, which means it is Fall.

Alabama weather is so unpredictable.

So today, I am looking at this picture dreaming of the cold days of winter.

Everything is beautiful in the snow.

Don't you think.

Let's put some light on this subject

I have been making roses out of all kinds of things lately.

Cupcake liners, coffee filters, fabric, felt, and paper.

So what do you think?

All you do is cut a circle.

On a Wing and a Prayer

I pray today that Hubby has a good week fishing in Tenn at the Regional Fishers of Men Tournament.

I pray Dear Daughter gets back safe and sound from her vacation.

I pray each one of you have a great week.

Flowers, just for you.

Don't you love to get flowers?

I do.

I don't care that they die and cost a arm and a leg.

I love flowers and I deserve them.

Just saying is all.

It is time for bed.

Been really sleepy lately.

Getting 7 hours sleep.

I love all things nature

lately.

Seems I see beauty in not so beautiful things.

Like sea shells and wasp nest.

And I love to decorate with them.

Silver Lining 's

I kinda like the tarnished look of old silver.

Used and worn.

Kinda like I feel today.

HA HA

But the silver and white is a pretty sight.

Little Shop of White

Oh, the whole shop isn't white but I wish it was.

But the next few days will be pictures from the shop.

I love the look of the white decorations, just can't have it at home.

So I look and decorate at the shop in white.

And for the ones that know me, the wedding of my brother and new sister in law, went well.

It did rain alittle before the wedding and I put off the decorating of the tables until after we arrived back at the house. I just wanted to make sure it was all over. And so I just put everyone to work. It looked great.

Thanks for all the help, it was a wonderful night.

3 Days and Counting

The wedding is in 3 days.

Busy...Busy....Busy.

But not too busy to post a beautiful hand made bracelet that Linda made.

Next Year

So it is after Labor Day and time to put up those white hand bags and white shoes.

Time for cooler temperatures,

time for cooler nights, with the windows open.

I just love to lay in bed and listen to the sounds of the night.

It is wonderful Clothes on the line weather. Hot enough to dry them but cool enough to sit and wait for them to dry. I am really enjoying this weather. How is your Labor Day going?
