It has been one of those days, a busy day. A day that it took all day to make a grocery list for the up coming retreat weekend. So tonight at 10 o'clock, I am sitting here on the computer for the first time this afternoon. I am picturing myself in a soft pink bed with fluff and fur. Comfortable and I am drifting, drifting off to sleep.....night.zzzzzzzz

I had a idea!
Don't get too excited.
I borrowed it from another blog.
I will be showing you pink all month long.
In honor of the people ( men as well as women) who have fought and won over breast cancer,
and the ones who have lost this battle, kicking and screaming.
Because this month is the month, our local news paper was printed in PINK, yesterday.
I hope when you notice sometime for sale to benefit breast cancer, you pick it up, You buy that brand of (what ever) that supports the cause, you give them a hug or call them and ask if there is anything you can do, call a friend and go with her and get that mammogram.
Happy Pink October!!!!

It is cooler in Alabama today, it didn't get into the 70's.
This type of weather makes me want to cook/bake.
I found this recipe on-line, somewhere.
It is a Snickers Cupcake.
Yummy!
So rich!
So good
But so Rich!
Now my problem is my hubby won't eat em
The grandsons won't eat them
James only likes pound cake
Jessica might eat one or two.
And that leaves 22 for me.
Since I have already had one, that means there is 21 left.
all for me!!!!
LOL
I think I will RAK them tomorrow.
I just ran across this picture and I had to post it.
This is Terry ( my Hubby) and his brothers.
Michael is on his ride holding his new daughter, Catherine
L to R Rusty, Keith and my sweet Hubs Terry.
This was taken a few years ago on Christmas week.
They all looked so much alike when they were kids, I don't think so much now.
But they all have that gray hair.
Salt and pepper hair.
Some more salt than pepper.
LOL
LOL

I run into Nanny and Paw Paw's room, screaming...slam the door and set down in the corner.
I think he thinks no one hears him and no one will come after him.
He does this when he eats deodorant or lotion or hair product
or shampoo or any other kind of beauty products.
I have no idea why he eats these items, he is a healthy almost 3 year old.
He eats real food, and drinks soy milk.
But hides to eat these items.
Last week, I was baby sitting and he crawled up in the chair with a blanket, while I was making fried apple pies. After awhile I ask him if he wanted a snack.
So I gave him a little bowl of popcorn and kissed his forehead, checking for a temp. He was tooo still.
Little did I know he had hair gel under that blanket and was spraying it on his hand and licking it off.
I just happened to see him with his hand in his mouth,
I knew what he was up to then.

The other half of the Funky Junky Chicks is going to have a big birthday in a few days.
I will be out of town, at the Crop to Help Retreat.
I really hate to miss her birthday and it is a big one. Not the biggy that I just celebrated but a big one.
Tonya and I are so much alike.
We do not handle Birthday with the grace they deserve.
We kick and scream and have alittle pity party all by our self.
Don't get me wrong, our family and friends do hear all about it.
So in advance I want to say....
Happy Birthday, my friend!

I got a few pics from my SIL of the wedding.
So, lets move backward.
Or
Forward if you are decorating.
Remember it is Rustic and in a barn.
This tree was stuck out in the way and I thought it needed decoration too.
The candy table, after it had been attacked, from the candy monster. Looks like all the Cracker Jacks are gone. We had to pick candy that would not melt, since it was so darn hot.
We actually had a box left.
Over 400 jars.
Stay tuned for more pic.

Toot new hat
is crazy about ELMO, so I had this hat made for him. He has wore it all day and tonight he added these pool goggles. So funny!
Monday, September 05, 2011
I never have been this bad at taking pictures before in my life. I took only 20, and 10 was of the baby with uncle Terry.
The wedding was great!
Moving and beautiful.
That is Kindra and Jon is the one in the back with a cowboy hat.
Her maid of Honor, Pam in the orange.
All the attendants wore this sun dress with cowboy boots.

Thrift Store
I don't always find items at the Thrift Store I can put in the shop. More often than none, I find items for me, or the house. When the tornado came through our state in April, we had planned a brunch at church.
We was determined to have this brunch even though there was no power at the church.
I gather candles, opened blinds and tried to come up with a way to take HOT coffee for the ones that still did not have power.
I thought if I had one of these carafe for hot coffee, I could give the people that had been without power for Days, a little coffee. Hot Coffee.
But I could not find one.
But now thanks to our Goodwill, I have one.
And I also found this over night bag.
Both still have the tags.
I love the thrift store.

My niece Kindra is marring Jon Whitlock.
AKA- PINKY
I decorated for the shower. Kindra is a simple country girl.
Works in the barn, with the cows and horses. She is a 4-H agent and has always enjoyed the farm.
So I wanted our guest to see how much fun jon and kindra have. And through these pictures you can see that.
I do think they are in love.
He is a romantic little devil, he surprises her all the time. I pray he keeps doing this. It will help, in this day and time. When I think of Kindra I remember the pearls Jon gave her for her birthday, so I added pearls to each table, the milk glass vases are her mothers, and Kindra likes PIES.
So all we had was pies. Interesting menu. But everyone enjoyed it.
Now on to the wedding, on a farm, wedding in a meadow and reception in a barn. This is going to be interesting. I can't wait.

There is a new show on these days called
"PICKER SISTERS".
Have you see it?
Tuesday @ 9 on Lifetime
I have a few things to say about it so grab a chair and have a seat.
******************************
Really, do you really think these girls will pick through all the spider webs and dirty, nasty things you need to, to get to the good stuff.
I DON"T THINK SO!
But they wont have to, cause they have someone who will do it for them...
Boy, are they missing out, if indeed they are true pickers.
********************************************
And I have to try and explain to hubby what I have in mind and this is the hardest part.
We don't see eye to eye.
Most of the time I can't relay to him the vision, I have.
This is very hard!!!
********************************
I do love the vision the girls have ( or the producers) and the re pour they have with their handyman.
And I love his work.
I also love that he has it ready in less than a hour.
T.V Time, gotta love it!
So I will tune in again,
and maybe try to get hubby to watch,
maybe it will help him, if nothing else.

Celebrating Our Country
Our annual BBQ on or around the 4th was alittle layed back this year. Tonya and I had hosted the Junk Swap the Saturday before and I was still tired. So I was glad that it was layed back. But I did decorate alittle. I spray painted re, white and blue stars on the grass. In hopes that the grass will grow and be mowed away soon. I saw this on Studio 5, a web show from Utah. They had painted a Twister game on the lawn for a teens party. And when I saw that i had to try stars. The blue was the brightest. White was the faintest. Simple decorations, good food, good friends and a great time for all.
On a different note, Bro Gary spoke of our Country and Congress and how we should pray for them. I have to believe that our country would be a better place if God was in Congress. So join me and say a prayer for guidance.
