Just how much do I need to drink to make my painting look like the original?

I know...I know...It has been a week since I have posted.
My aunt was ill and passed away.
She was 82 years young.
We called her Toot's.
To me, she was the first Martha.
Before Martha was even born my aunt was making her own crackers,
gardening and raising chickens to feed her family.
On Halloween she would pick the best looking leaves to pin to the curtains and table for decoration.
Toots and my uncle Dan would save the toys ( all year) from cereal to give along with homemade candies to the trick or treats.
She changed out her curtains with the seasons and ironed and starched her linens.
And when she thought of us she would sit down and send us a card and taped to the inside cover was a happy thought.
She would clip them out of magazines and news papers and save them, until she needed them.
She was a good, strong woman.
I will miss her.

Is this not an amazing idea.
I believe Jill sent me this blog post
Thanks Jill!
I had a bubble gum machine in the shop for sale a year or so ago.
This is thinking outside the box and I missed it.
Grandson #1 started to school this week, #2 started to Preschool (4 year old).
And so it was alittle crazy around here.
It is so different with boys.
We made it to school on time the first day, #1 does not get in a hurry.
EVER!
This really gets on my nerves.
So day 2, we walked in as the bell was ringing.
And I was looking forward to school starting.
Have a happy weekend.

3rd Day Update
from the Road
Slow start this morning, and only little items today.
But we don't have alot of room left in the truck.
So I am being selective.
I got lady finger mold, cricket box, another platter or two, and several pie pans for Linda.
I really can't remember what all I did get today.
It was so much hotter today.
And I think I fried.
We will start out in the AM back toward Alabama.
I know alot of people will not be set up on Sunday, but we might get a few bargains.
Home tomorrow sometime.
Having a great time.

Update from the road
(2nd day)
Today we started our morning on Signal Mountain.
I love this part of the yard sale.
But Hubby wanted to get off the main drag and hit some of these yard sales just a block over.
And we did great.
I got a pile of chicken feeders, a room divider screen, 2 desks and lots of little goodies.
So many goodies, I had to go to Wal-mart tonight and get another plastic tub.
The back of the truck is full and we still have one more full day.
We sat in traffic alot today and so we stayed cooler.
I had a great frozen chocolate covered banana, fried apple pie and home-made ice cream today.
If I wasn't walking this off, I would be alittle guilty.
It is 9 o'clock and we are about ready for bed.
I know I will dream of my treasures I bought today.
(And Linda, I only found one pie pan today. )
Happy junkin!

Yard Sale Update
(from the road)
Today was a good day.
As in years past, there is a common item.
This year I started buying white ironstone.
I got a large bowl, a platter and a smaller pitcher.
They have the old stains that I love and so I knew they were the next booth for the shop.
I also got some old spools with white and off white thread.
Now tomorrow, I need to find a jar to display the thread.
Oh, and Linda ask me to try and find old pie plates for a family dinner she has planned.
I found her two, today. Only 18 more to find.
A few other treasures that you will have to wait and see after I get home, forgot the camera connections.
Oh and did I tell you how HOT it was today!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, my goodness, it was hot!
But we wouldn't have missed it!

I am in the yard sale mode this week. Hubby and I will be heading out Thursday AM to the World's Longest Yard Sale. Starting in Gadsden Alabama and ending in Ohio. For 4 glorious days hubby and I will be alone and buying junk.
I love it!!!!
We will be gone for 4 days.
Enjoying the junk.
So I have dreamed junk for the last few nights and I have daydreamed the many places we stopped the last few years.
I've gotten snacks ready, we washed and cleaned out the truck, washed clothes, and I am ready to pack and go.
Terry has even cut the hairs in this nose and ears.
I have a habit of grooming my hubby as he is driving.
Nothing like have a nose hair jerked out of your nose going down the road.
I take my job as wife and caregiver serious.
So I am going to leave you with that picture in your head.
Enjoy your week and go buy some junk.
