Crafty Friday
Need a bow for a gift?
I was having a problem with this wire and couldn't get it to stay on the spool.
So I used it as part of the bow.
Trash became useful.

Countdown Continues
Only 4 day's till the big
"50"
So the tears came yesterday, I knew they would.
It was a party.
My pity party.
Feeling sorry for myself.
Friends not coming to my party,
hubby working this weekend.
All weekend.
Tired and PMS ing.
Is all ingredients for a pity party.
I hope it is over, I hate feeling this way.But it is bound to happen.
It is my party and I will cry if I want to.

COUNT DOWN
9 DAYS TILL 50
________________________________
Monday is my official day off.
If I don't have a doctors appointment
or
need to go somewhere, or visit someone, or run errands
or clean house or take somebody some where
then and only then do i get to relax.
Enjoy my day.
And today was not one of those days.
But I did get to spend a few hours with a new friend.
It was a good day!

Let the Countdown Begin
10 Days till my 50th
Birthday.
And something
amazing happened today.

Terry and I was Baptised in the river.
We had been waiting to do this for awhile now.
And when Bro Garry ask last week if anyone wanted to be baptised at the river, Terry and I knew it was the right time.
Being raised in the Methodist Church you have the choice to be sprinkled or dunked at the river.
The only thing that would have made it any better...... if it had been Jordan River.
One Day, maybe.
It was a beautiful day.

Crafting Friday
Need a bow for a package?
These are so cute and the cost is nothing.
I took half water and half paint and dyed these coffee filters and cupcake liners.
NOTICE
The Doilies fell apart, when they were put in the paint.
I hung them up to dry.
Waiting is not my strength, so this was hard.

I had dyed 6 coffee filters.
Folded 4 in half and half again and placed on a flat one.
Using a little tacky glue to attach.
Then added the smaller ones.
fluff them to get the look you want.
Think about the possibilities.
Add buttons as centers, or a ear ring like I did.
Add feathers or beads, maybe even some ribbon.

Make your next bow,
and while you are at it,
wrap the gift in a old pattern.
You can pick them up at Thrift stores for little of nothing.
Have a good Day!

Silver Bella
Each year, for the last 5 years
I have dreamed of going to this event.
It is in Omaha.
Again this year I looked
here
And read all the wonderful blogs .
It is me...
Most of them anyway.
I saw the last two signs on those blogs and had to post em.
I believe that all old things work well together....
I love old stuff and giving them a new life...
Somethings I collect and will never use.
I can't bring my self to use them...

And I love this Artist statement....Is it me?
Have a good week!

Fall is in the Air,

even at the shop.

I love these pumpkins!

I made these, myself.

Seem them on a blog last year and had to make a few.

I always get carried away.

I liked them so much, I made more this year too.

They are made out of discarded sweaters.

So easy.

Getting in the mood to decorate, so stop by and see how it turns out.....

You never know.

New Crafting Friday
Was looking at purses on - line and thought about buying one.
Until I saw the 275.00 price tag.
Not if I can make it.
So I started with this old piece of linen.
I cut it in half.
I liked the lace on the bottom edge.

Sewed strips of lace on both pieces.
And sewed it together.
Made a lining, with a pocket.

Now for the handle.
This is a easy way to use all those little pieces of lace, I can't seem to throw away.

And here it is !
I love it !
I really like the old flower from a hat that had seen its better days.
So if I can do it, you can to.
I hate to sew.
Except on paper. haha
So grab those scraps and go at it.
We all need another bag.

Fall in the Mt's.

Looked out the bathroom window yesterday and couldn't resist. Grabed my camera and Wala!

Looks like Gatlinburg.

Been foggy the last few mornings, no rain, but fog.

But it will happen, cause I ran my car through the car wash yesterday........

Yeah right, like I wouldn't lust after all the goodies. The guestion is would LOLA look good in these glasses? HA HA. If you are interested in a peek you can go here and see her adventure -http://suzanneduda.typepad.com/my_weblog/

I am going to be MIA for the weekend. I am going to be in Springville for our annual Crop 2 Help Scrapbooking Retreat Weekend. Hosted to benefit the Shriners Hospital. There is a great group of girls that I love spending time with. We just get along. Fun - Food- and Fellowship.

Linda sent me this and i had to post it...

Truths For Mature Humans
1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.
4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.
5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
6. Was learning cursive really necessary?
7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on # 5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood
.8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.
10. Bad decisions make good stories.
11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.
12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection...again.
13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me ifI want to save any changes to my ten-page technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to.
14. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
15. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.
16. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than Kay.
17. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.
18. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between boredom and hunger.
19. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or understand a word they said?
20. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front. Stay strong, brothers and sisters!
21. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.
22. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch 3 consecutive times and still not know what time it is.
23. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and Pinning the Tail on the Donkey -but I'd bet everyone can find and push the snooze button from 3 feet away,in about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!
24. The first testicular guard, the "Cup," was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974. That means it only took 100 years for men to realize that the brain is also important. (Ladies.....Quit Laughing.)

So today I would like to introduce another member of my studio.

She doesn't have a name, yet.

She is bouncie and always kinda squirlie, and unstable. But she makes me smile everytime I see her.

Yes, she is a girl. So help me name her.

I would like to Introduce you to

*Petunia*

A new addition to my family.

Look at those eyes and that little crooked nose.

Could you resist her?

But I think she likes Terry ( Hubby)

When I found her, I hung her from the rear view mirror and her foot kelp

finding its way on to his leg.

Well, I think he is kinda special too.

I might have to share him.

haha

Hubby and I went on the 411 Yard Sale on Friday. It runs from Leeds to Knoxville. We didn't hardly get out of Alabama, and we started in Ashville. We made it to Cave Springs Ga. I enjoy that little town. It is a step back in time kinda town. This was my kind of Yard Sale. It was cool and breezie and good bargins.
So I have new goodies at the shop and at home. Gotta keep a few for me. haha
